About

The Eternal Dharma is an attempt to create notes for novice spiritual seekers on their pursuit of the Absolute. For any spiritual seeker, there would arise several queries ranging from very basic to extremely intricate ones. One of the main difficulties in the spiritual progress of a majority of individuals is the apparent unavailability of convincing answers. The available ones are either too naïve or way above the head. Due to this, there are many misconceptions and misunderstanding of the concepts and rituals, ultimately being disregarded as fictitious.

The intent here is to convincingly demystify the path in the spiritual journey of an individual. Born and raised as a Hindu, the author takes 'Hinduism' as the channel to achieve this goal, specifically Sankaracharya's approach. Amidst a plethora of websites and blogs that elucidate a variety of concepts by eminent scholars, this is only a tiny speck of knowledge gained by an ordinary Hindu over the past few years. However, the knowledge shared is ensured to be from only authentic sources. The basis of this initiative is that there is always a simple way of explaining even the most complex things.

Utmost care is taken so as to not misinterpret any of the teachings. Most of the contents are generally cited to authentic sources. In some cases, a direct reference may not be possible as the source could be a verbal conversation with eminent scholars/experts. In these cases, references may be added based on user request.

Please feel free to comment, or ask any questions related to the topic. The author is open to learn and refine the content, and definitely keen to answer new questions. There is no pre-requisite knowledge required for the reader. It is assumed that the reader starts from a clean slate. However, it is suggested that the reader goes through prior posts for any dependencies when reading any random article.

Finally, a note to any spiritual seeker. The author recommends reading Deivathin Kural, a seven-volume series (in Tamil) detailing the ancient wisdom of the Vedic religion in a simple manner. There is also an English version to it by the name Voice of God.

Offering at the lotus feet of the Almighty.
